6/6/2023 0 Comments Avidemux downloadThere are reports suggesting that this program is possibly malicious, or could install additional unwanted bundled software. Avidemux was created from scratch, however additional code from FFmpeg MPlayer, Transcode, and Avisynth is sometimes used also. Avidemux supports the non-linear editing of video, adding visually-based effects (called “Filters” by Avidemux) to videos and transcoding them into different formats.Īvidemux is also able to insert audio streams into a video (an act known as multiplexing, or “muxing”) or extract audio streams from video files (an act referred to as “demuxing”). It also comes with the non-project mode, just like VirtualDub, and lets users simply make the configurations they want and save the video straight away without creating a project. It’s developed by hand in C++ and uses Qt to provide a graphical user interface and FFmpeg for its multimedia capabilities. The creators intend to make it “a simple tool for simple video processing tasks” and to enable the users “to do elementary things in a very straightforward way”. The user interface is very like VirtualDub and the majority of features that are recognizable from VirtualDub are also available.Īvidemux is a completely free and open-source software program for non-linear editing of video or transcoding media files. It is also able to support multi-threading. Avidemux is designed to perform simple cutting, filtering, or encoder tasks. It is, however, an entirely standalone application that doesn’t need any other software to decode, read or encode other than it. After the quick installation, you’ll notice the ease of use is. Luckily, Avidemux supports a wide range of video formats which include AVI, FLV, and MPEG as well as an audio format like MP3, WAV, and OGG. Similar to the VirtualDub’s VCF capability to script, Avidemux has advanced scripting available both through the GUI as well as command-line mode. All projects, including every option, configuration choices, preferences, and selection can be saved to an individual project file. One of the most important aspects of the structure of the software is its project management system that makes use of its SpiderMonkey JavaScript engine. Automated tasks can be accomplished using job queues, projects, and scripting tools that are powerful. The program can be also used to apply the subtitles and add them to a movie file so you don't have to worry about not being able to display subtitles with your video player, as they become an integral part of a film.It can support a variety of types of files, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4, and ASF using a variety of codecs. You can also improve quality of a film by applying filters that remove blurs, adjust contrast and sharpen the images. Thanks to them you can add black frames around the screen, add your own watermark in a chosen place on the screen, add effects, set saturation filters or rotate the screen by a chosen angle. You can find groups of filters such as transformations, alternations, colours, blurs, sharpening, subtitles and more. All the filters that are available are divided into categories so you can easily and quickly find the one you need. More advanced features and filters can be found in the bar in the upper part of the window.Īvidemux allows to operate on frames by pasting, deleting and changing them, along with applying filters. In the bottom part you can find standard navigation buttons along with markers to set the beginning and the ending of a chosen fragment. In the side panel you can find information on decoding - you can choose audio and video codecs for an outcome file. The program has a very simple and intuitive interface that takes only a few minutes to decode and get acquainted with all the features. Avidemux allows to quickly cut fragments from a movie and to convert files in AVI, MPEG, MP4 and ASF format. It works similarly to another popular movie editor - VirtualDub. Avidemux is a free tool for editing and converting video files. 6/6/2023 0 Comments Cool picture collage makerLooking for the best free collage app? Here's one of them. 6/6/2023 0 Comments Adjust webcam settingsThat APP is simple called "Camera Settings" and you can find it online and download. Only after all this did I find a FREE APP that does a great job (with somewhat less functionality than promised in this app) with resizing, focus, lighting, zooming, etc. EVEN WORSE, after un-installing the software, my webcam didn't work properly any more until I deleted the previous driver and had to reinstall and restart my machine. I tried all sorts of solutions and non-worked. The only way to get it to work again was to stop the video and re-start it. But, VERY unfortunately, after about 1 hour of use, it started to 'freeze' images and/or free the audio. And you can definitely control all sorts of functions with an external webcam through this app. Upon downloading the app, it appeared to work wonderfully with all the settings, as promised. I also have a nice external webcam and thought this would allow me to control it better as the company that makes the webcam has drivers that don't work well with macOS. I researched this app before purchasing as I just upgraded to a 2020 iMac. So if you have poor lighing conditions in your home/office for video calls, if you have at least a halfway decent webcam, this app may save you the cost of getting additional lighting. One unexpected bonus is that even though these Logitech cameras are not very good at adjusting to the extreme lighting conditions in my office (not enough ambient light for the default settings, too much light with the video lights on), I was able to create manual presets for each scenario and now they produce a great looking video feed for Zoom calls even with ambient office light only. I have some video lighting set up in my office and I can switch with one click between the perfectly tuned setting between natural ambient light and pro lighting. This app does the job perfectly, including storing presets. I got this app because the Logitech 930c webcam I use for zoom calls doesn't allow for any settings on Mac. Best investment to supplement my new webcam on a Mac: I'm going to basically copy and paste what another reviewer "Bob" said recently, because it 100% reflects my experience of this brilliant app. I wish the developer cared and fixed bugs reported here, but he apparently doesn't even read the reviews here.Īmazing! I use it with Logitech 930c and Zoom It is a good concept poorly executed and rarely updated, even though it's full of bugs. Sometimes it fails to save the advanced settings. So you keep switching back and forth and eventually you arrive at a completey black video feed. When I change the flicker filter between 50 and 60 Hz, with every change between the settings, it decreases the brightness a bit. Sometimes it forgets/changes settings on its own and I show up in a Zoom meeting with my bright red - until I open the app settings, reload the one that was supposed to be used in the first place, and then it goes back to the right settings. In practice, there are so many bugs (many of them described in reviews here), and the developer doesn't seem to care, so it is only borderline usable. I bought this to override the default settings of my Logitech webcam which were horrible for Zoom. * Your USB webcam must be working on your Mac properly (function normally with FaceTime, iChat/Messages, and Skype) before it can be used with Webcam Settings. * Webcam Settings support UVC (USB Video Class) webcam only FireWire camera such as external iSight is not supported.
